Baby Mama came at a time when I needed a change. A time when I needed to prioritize myself so I could be a better Mom for my kids both mentally and physically. It gave me a non-judgemental environment that I could bring my kids to, meet other mom’s who were in the thick of it AND focus on my physical health and getting stronger.

I had a few mom friends who were attending Baby Mama classes for a while before I got pregnant and it just looked like such an inviting space for any level of fitness and as a mom. I had just moved back to Lethbridge and was looking for a way to stay healthy during my pregnancy and hopefully make some community and that’s exactly what happened!

I was very tired at the end of 2016 because my life was so out of balance. I worked too much and spent too much energy devoted to a job that was only temporary. I was determined not to let my job dictate my life that year, which required saying no more and possibly earning a little less.
I didn’t want my kids to miss out on a mom who was available mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually because of a client.
